MLK DAY PARADE ENTRY 2010

1.        You should participate if you understand and appreciate the sacrifice and contributions made by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and others. 

2.       You should participate if you too have a vision and desire that all Americans have an opportunity to pursue the “American Dream.” 

3.       You should participate if you have benefited from past and present efforts to guide us toward a color-blind society.  

4.       You should participate if you have a sense of obligation to help others understand, by your presence, that the King Holiday is important to Jacksonville, Florida, and to America.

You should participate in the MLK Holiday Parade and accompanying festivities because it is an appropriate and honorable response to our collective dreams of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
