
MLK Holiday Celebration 2008
Vendor Regulations,
Conditions, and Rules
Character
of Exhibits: The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial Foundation,
Incorporated, may license and rent space for any exhibit of interest to business
and industry or of educational value. All exhibits must be constructed,
designed and operated in good taste and in accordance with the best interest of
MLK Holiday Celebration 2008, whose management in its sole discretion shall have
the right to decide all publicity, sales and promotion activities conducted by
the exhibitor. Must be confined to the rented space. Use of public address
system and carnival tactics are forbidden. Distribution of any souvenirs,
printed matter or other articles by the exhibitor shall be restricted to the
space occupied by the exhibit. The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial
Foundation in its sole discretion may prohibit any activity whatsoever which it
determines to be detrimental and not in the best interest of MLK Holiday
Celebration 2008.
Insurance and Liability: If the exhibitor desires insurance, they must
obtain it at their own expense and cost. The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.,
Memorial Foundation and the City of Jacksonville assume no risk, and in the
acceptance of this agreement, the exhibitor expressly releases The Dr. Martin
Luther King, Jr., Memorial Foundation and the City of Jacksonville and agents
from any and all liability for any injury, damage or loss to any person or goods
that may arise from the rental and occupation of said space by the exhibitor and
agree to hold and save The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial Foundation and
the City of Jacksonville harmless of and from any loss or damage by reason
thereof.
Setting up of Exhibits: Booths must be set up on Monday, January 21,
2008, beginning 7:00am. An earlier setup time is not possible due to
restrictions imposed by the City of Jacksonville.
The Dr.
Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial Foundation and the City of Jacksonville
assumes no responsibility whatsoever for any property placed in the MLK
Holiday Celebration 2008, and The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial
Foundation and the City of Jacksonville are hereby released and discharged
from any and all liability from any loss, injury or damages to person or
property that may be sustained before, during or after the MLK Holiday
Celebration 2008.
