  1. What is the MLK Memorial Foundation?
  2. The MLK Memorial Foundation is a non-profit organization initially founded to host a parade celebration (Jacksonville, Florida) in recognition of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King. 

     

  3. How long has the MLK Memorial Foundation been in existence?
  4. The MLK Memorial Foundation has been in continuous existence since July, 1989. Please be advised that we are not the King Center of Atlanta, GA. We are located in Jacksonville, Florida.

     

  5. What other projects do the MLK Memorial Foundation undertake?
  6. The MLK Memorial Foundation has a very aggressive agenda that will include neighborhood enrichment; computer literacy; and youth focus group interaction.

  9. How can I become a member of the MLK Memorial Foundation?
  10. You can apply for membership in the MLK Memorial Foundation by contacting our membership committee at freedom@mlkfdn.org.

     

  11. What is the entry fee for the annual MLK Birthday Parade?
  12. There is no entry fee for the parade.

     

  13. Where is the MLK Memorial Foundation located?
  14. The MLK Memorial Foundation is located at The Enterprise Center, 101 East Union Street, Suite 100, Jacksonville, Florida 32202

     

  15. When will the foundation start work on the 2004 MLK Parade?
  16. We will start planning for the 2004 MLK Parade in March 2003. We would like to extend an invitation to you to participate in planning the next parade.

     

  17. Can out-of-town groups participate in the MLK Parade?
  18. We actively welcome the participation of all interested parties and groups in the MLK parade celebration.

     

  19. Can I volunteer to work with certain MLK projects without becoming a member of the organization?

We strongly encourage you to become involved as a volunteer or member of the Foundation. Please contact us at your earliest convenience for a 2004 project agenda.
